We are delighted to share our interview with Lisa Tierney from Fat Joy Fineart!
Lisa started her business in 2022 and one of the biggest highs so far has been the release of her colouring book. Hailing from Clare, Lisa is friends with Caoimhe from the shop. She shares with us some ideas for resilience and some words of wisdom.
Have you ever come close to quitting? If so, what changed your mind?
Yes! I got (and still get) motivation from seeing other creators doing their thing & the community of artists I call my friends.
Any words of wisdom for someone just starting out?
Your art is valid. It doesn’t matter how many followers or „likes“ you have, whether your art sells well or if you’ve found your niche. The act of creating something with your own hands, of making something new in this world is priceless and you’re brave and amazing for doing it. There’s room for all sorts of art out here.
