Next up in our series of interviews is Lainey of Pumpkin Lodge Crafts! The glamorous Lainey started in 2022 and her highlight was releasing her amazing vegan cookbook. Lainey shares some her source of inspiration and some quality shows to have on repeat <3
Have you ever come close to quitting? If so, what changed your mind?
Yes. I sort of did quit at the end of last year but I couldn’t walk away from crafting and I love making cosy comforting things for people
What are your biggest influences? Any favourite artists, practices, craftsfolk, musicians, entrepreneurs?
I’m not sure. I kind of take influence from traditional Irish clothing like shawls and fuse it with folklore and mythology.
Any words of wisdom for someone just starting out?
Build a business on ethics, with care for the environment and every being in it; there’s enough capitalist culture out there. And do it your way, create wild and wonderful pieces.
