Introducing... Southpaw Studio!

This week we're chatting with Martin of Southpaw Studio (who you may know from Sundays in the shop!) Martin started in 2012 and you will find his super stylish and cool vintage cameras in the apparel room :)


1. What's been your biggest high in your journey so far? 
Getting to open a physical store

2. Have you ever come close to quitting?  If so, what changed your mind?
Plenty of times but keep on doing what I love because it’s the thing I love doing .

3. What are your biggest influences? Any favourite artists, practices, craftsfolk, musicians, entrepreneurs?
Too many to name but mostly Creative Women who have taught me my skill set and influence my style (there are a few Men in there too just not an even split . Which I think is great )

4. Any words of wisdom for someone just starting out?
Start small keep trying be patient and willing to adapt

5. Do you have some plans or dreams for the future? Tell us your visions! 
To open a community art studio that is self sufficient and eco friendly.

6. If you do live in Waterford, give us some recommendations! 
All the Art galleries,  kite studio for the Glass , Geoffs for pints , and the many Charity shops for thrifty Treasures and potential art supplies.

7. Want to give any shout outs? Whose work are you obsessed with at the minute?
All the Magpies you guys are killin it . (Awh shucks!)

Severance on Apple TV
