About The Magpie

The Magpie began as a collaborative project and would not be where it is today without the help of so many amazing people. 

As of 2026 The Magpie is being run by Caoimhe Walsh with help from some other wonderful people. 

At The Magpie we believe in supporting Irish. We love diversity and have folks from all walks of life and from all over the world but they are all living in Ireland. 

We have over 60 makers with a large portion of them being from the queer community as am I myself. 

As a non binary maker it was incredibly important to me to support the community that has supported me all my adult life. 

I am incredibly proud to support as many trans and queer makers as we do in the shop. 

At The Magpie you will always get a warm welcome, you'll find colour, fun and art of all sorts. 

In fact, you never know what you might find when you step in our door!
