Behind the name Miaca Designs (me-ah-ka), Mairéad creates expressive brand identities and explores colour, texture and typography through graphic design and illustration.
Mairéad’s creative path began over 10 years ago. After earning her degree in Visual Communication, she started out working in textiles, hand-dyeing yarn in bold and unexpected colourways - an experience that shaped her love for colour, texture, and playful visual expression.
From there, Mairéad moved into the world of graphic design and branding, working professionally as an in-house designer and later on, in a marketing agency, where she honed her skills in layout, typography, and thoughtful, strategic design.
Inspired by the everyday, travelling and music, Mairéad offers branding and graphic design services and also creates joyful, design-led greeting cards and prints that aim to brighten walls and spark smiles.
